Publishers Weekly Review of SUMMER OF SLOANE

With less than 12 weeks to go until SUMMER OF SLOANE comes out, the trade reviews are starting to come in...

And I'm not freaking out about that at all. Nope.

Huh, yeah right.

I'm not sure how other authors feel about this, but for me, it's probably one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the entire publishing process. You just never know how the trades are going to respond or what they're going to say...and it's all out there, for the world to see.

Well, I couldn't be happier that the first of the big reviews is in, and from Publishers Weekly no less -- and what a review it turned out to be!

"...Schneider examines betrayal from many angles, as well as the myriad ways that people hurt one another and how one teenager moves forward to see new romance and hope in her future." -- Publishers Weekly

You can read the entire review over on Publishers Weekly and if you'd like to know a little more about what a trade review is, here's a great article on Slate that helps to explain it all!

Honestly, I can't stop staring at it. And I can't believe that it's a review for something I wrote. But above all of that, I am so happy the first review was a good one...and I can breathe a sigh of relief now...

Countdown to Pub: Favorite Line from SUMMER OF SLOANE

With exactly twelve weeks to go until SUMMER OF SLOANE will be published, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite lines from throughout the book!

Quotes will be in order, from the first page through the last, taking you on a mini journey through SLOANE and I'll post one every Tuesday - for the next twelve weeks - here, on Instagram, and also on Twitter.

I hope you'll stop by each week to see a little piece of SLOANE's story unfold and help me count down my last few weeks until publication!

To start us off, here's one of my favorite lines from the first page of SUMMER OF SLOANE!
